Make a Google Chrome Account

In order to customize your Chrome account, you need to log in with your Google account first. You can also log in with your Chrome account. Once you log in, you can begin to personalize the browser.

To log in, look at the small button present on the top right of the display window of the browser. If you’re already signed in, your name will display here. Otherwise, click on it and sign in. If you’re already signed in, you will get the option of “switch person”. If you want to switch to another account, use this option. Once logged in, your account name will appear here.

Select a Theme as Per Your Liking

You can add a theme of your preference to the browser as well. For that, look for an icon in the bookmarks bar. This icon portrays apps in highlighted form. Click on it and you will be able to see a drop-down of many apps such as Google Drive and Google Docs. Click on “Web Store”.

Here, in the search bar, type “themes” and keep on scrolling downwards until you find your favorite one. Select it and download it. Note that not all are for free. You may have to pay for some of them. Check the theme out by opening a new tab. If you like it, well and good! If you don’t, you can simply download a new one!

Add Bookmarks of Your Favorite Websites

A key option that you can customize is the bookmarks feature. Any website that you like, you can bookmark it for later use. Below the search bar, you will see these websites arranged in a row. To add a website to a bookmark, the process is quite simple. After accessing your target website, simply click on the star that appears in the search bar/URL bar. Click on it and save your page. That’s it, Chrome will add the website to its list of bookmarks!

Access Default Customizations

Apart from the above customization options, there are some in-built usability features as well that you can use for further empowerment. Have a look at them below.

Incognito Mode

If you want to browse privately without allowing Google to record your browsing history or data, then use this mode. All the cookies that your browser stores during your surfing time in incognito mode will be deleted right after your browsing session ends.

If you are browsing on a normal Chrome window then you can easily access this mode by pressing Ctrl + Shift + N. Using this mode, you can also sign in with two accounts on a single website. Open one account in the incognito mode and the other one in the normal window!

Omnibox

Chrome’s web address bar or Omnibox comes in quite handy for Google searches as well. You can simply type a keyword and the browser will display Google search results. This feature is very helpful in making quick searches.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Google Chrome is one of the best browsers out there. To enhance your web browsing and digital marketing activities, this browser can play a vital part. You can set it as default, customize it to your will, and utilize its offerings to reap great business benefits. Make sure to personalize the user experience. By doing so, you can enjoy an immaculate browsing experience!
